FRIDAY'S DIP WITH HOT JAM

VEGETARIAN + EASY + SNACK OR SIDE

SERVES: Hungry Friday foodies

We love lazy Friday afternoons that serve up easy, delicious good local pickings. Just like this bowl of dipping delights from Kate Flower Food using local WA artisan Mette Is Baking 'Pikant Dip Mix', an easy to use dry dip mix filled with earthy spicy flavours of paprika and chilli topped with our local small batch Hot Jam Relish for extra kick!

NEED

Hot Jam Relish (good dollop)

150g natural yoghurt (I'm a fan of Farmers Union Greek Style Yoghurt)

OR

1/2 cup of sour cream

Mette Is Baking - 'Pikant Dip Mix' 23gms (no nasties)

Salt and pepper to taste (grind to taste)

Coriander - chopped

1/2 lime (squeeze to taste)

Corn chips

MAKE

Add into your bowl, your choice of either yoghurt or sour cream, then empty Pikant Dip Mix and combine until dry mix has no lumps and has a smooth finish.

Leave the mix to sit for about 15 minutes to develop the flavours.

Taste dip and add seasoning if required.

Pour dip mix into bowl of choice, then squeeze over some zesty lime juice, a good dollop of our local Hot Jam Relish, with a scattering of coriander and getting dipping with some of those oh so crispy corn chips!

NOT JUST A DIP

Try adding this mix to Tacos or any of your favourite Mexican dishes for extra flavour.

If your not a fan of corn chips and want a more healthier dipping snack, chop up cucumber, carrots, celery or capsicum and get dipping!

Try adding this mix as a side to pulled lamb with fragrant rice or grain dish for some extra creaminess and texture.

I'm thinking a good drizzle of dip mix over salad with crumbed chicken sounds really good...what do you think?
